We love getting emails from our readers with fashion and beauty related questions. One reader recently had a question about how to accessorize a wedding outfit. She writes:
“I have a late March wedding in Florida which I will be wearing this Nicole Miller Mosaic Medley Strapless Dress ($630) with a pair of strappy sandals. I have mid length red hair which I will be wearing down and can not seem to find the right pair of earrings to go with the dress. I was thinking of keeping it simple with a gold filigree chandelier earring? What do you suggest and would you do a bracelet or ring?
Dear Reader,
First of all – LOVE the dress! Great choice!
In terms of jewelry, this is the type of dress where you can really make a statement with a stack of bangles and a large cocktail ring. Kenneth Jay Lane is always a number one go-to for chunky, statement jewelry. There are so many options. Layering a black resin bangle ($50) between a brushed metal ($46.50) and gold stud bangle ($49.60) works well. Wearing an oversized cocktail ring ($88) always adds a bit of glamour.
Since you are wearing your hair down, keeping the earrings more simple and playing up your other jewelry would work well. Pretty, thin hoop earrings or gold chandeliers like you suggested are a good choice. Another option is to add some color with delicate hoops like the Kenneth Jay Lane Tribal Leader Earrings in Coral ($36). There is also a white version that would work well with this dress.
Finish the look with a pendant necklace on a thin gold chain. Gorjana’s Raleigh Large Necklace ($81) has a textured leaf that pairs well with the print of the dress. Gorjana jewelry is pretty amazing, and definitely worth checking out. Right now, you can save 15% on the Raleigh necklace with code LOVE at checkout. There are also a few other Couture Candy coupons, so happy shopping!
Hope that helps! Have fun at the wedding!
