Singers, songwriters, musicians and music industry peeps swept the red-carpet and gathered for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. In true rockstar style, the fashion ranged from moderately eclectic to wildly over the top. And while the show is really about the music, it’s always fun to see what the stars chose to wear.
Chic in Blue
Fergie rocked a bright blue Pucci mini dress that was accented by a colorful silver streak. Strappy sandals and a Leiber clutch finished the look. This look totally worked for her.
Taylor Swift looked stunning in a Kaufman Franco gown. The elegant lines and draping fit Taylor exquisitely and made her look graceful while being age-appropriate.
Glee’s Lea Michele donned a lovely one-shouldered Romona Keveza mini dress. Her Brian Atwood heels complimented the dress beautifully. The whole look was fun and flirty – perfect for her.
Nude and Sheer
Beyonce, known for making some interesting fashion choices, wore a shiny nude Stéphane Rolland gown. While we liked the color, we were not fans of this tight fitting gown. The pattern looked more like it belonged on upholstery, not fashion.
Keri Hilson’s nude Dolce & Gabbana frock was cut mermaid style. The gorgeous color, slim bodice and pretty belt made the dress work, it lost a bit of it’s wow factor with overly flared bottom.
Katy Perry, who we adore, wore a body conscious Zac Posen gown. We loved this look – the dress was sexy without being over the top. It fit her well and we were into the flower sequin detailing.
Over the Top Accents
Rihanna wore a white Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. The feathered high-neck bodice and hip-pleats were not the most flattering, but we loved the all white look.
Oh Gaga! Lady Gaga wore a wild Armani Privé outfit that looked out-of-this-world. Her yellow-streaked hair topped off the look. She turned heads yet again. At least she could move in this one.
Jennifer Lopez wore a silver and white Versace dress that was both mini and maxi! She finished the look with tons of Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a pair of white peep toe Louboutins.
