On cool winter days, it’s all about layering. You pile them on for your morning commute and strip them off when you get to work. The trick to layering is to have each piece be substantial enough to wear on its own, but not too thick that it creates too much heat.
Here’s one of our favorite layering looks for a casual day. It’s warm, but you can remove outer layers to cool off. Your go-to skinny jeans and boots are the base of the outfit. A thin camisole and a long-sleeved tee-shirt get layered on. A sweater vest with adds some interesting texture to the whole look. Topped off with a cargo-style jacket.

Boots: French Connection Rosa Boot, $180

Long-Sleeved Tee: Michael Stars Scoop Neck Cotton Tee, $55
