From our friends at The Find:
Swimwear shopping can be tricky and frustrating, especially when your bottom and top half aren’t perfectly proportionate. So if you’ve been rocking the same suit for the past few years, simply to avoid setting foot in those dressing rooms again, open your eyes and check out the new swimwear trends — though chances are, they might just send you back into hiding. Denim-effect swimwear has been cropping up over the current season, and while many jean-inspired suits are more comfortable than they sound (and don’t worry, the colors don’t bleed after one dip in the pool), we’re not exactly sure how to feel about it. I love the all-American, girl-next-door look of some distressed-denim suits like this Emamó Denim-Effect Triangle Bikini, available at Net-a-Porter, and I’d be down to try even a more subtly denim-ized bikini like this one from Victoria’s Secret, but when taken to the extreme, not so much. I mean, take this True Religion Jeanius Bikini, for example. Swim bottoms made to look like little water-resistant jean shorts? I guess it was only a matter of time before this fad hit the web, but I have to say, I’d rather wear jeggings. And that’s saying a lot!
